During a recent trip to the West Coast I had a chance to stop by the California Science Center and see Space Shuttle Endeavor. Endeavour is the newest of NASA’s Space Shuttle Fleet, and was retired in 2012. Endeavour was build to replace the Challenger after it broke up shortly after launch.
It was very cool to see this magnificent ship resting on it’s pedestals. When you walk into the exhibit, it’s breath taking! It’s displayed in such a way that you can walk all around the Shuttle, and under it. They’ve also got cameras inside the shuttle showing a live feed, not that it seems like it ever changes.
