This haiku was written while I was on a flight to Las Vegas less than 24 hours after the shooting at the Mandalay Bay occurred. high up in the air wanting to be creative thinking of death below

ONE YEAR LATER

This past week marks the end of my first year in Seattle. I can’t help but to think back to when I was walking out of SeaTac airport one year ago. I was a bundle of emotions. Excited. Scared. Intrigued. Nervous. And feeling immensely independent. My entire life was changing right before my eyes, and I had no idea what the future held for me.

OUR SIXMONTHIVERSARY

Today Seattle and I celebrate our Sixmonthiversary. It was just six months ago today I boarded that American Airlines flight, and my life was forever changed. I became Seattle’s newest resident. I sit here writing this in what I could only describe as exactly what I wanted my life to look like when I got to Seattle.

SAFARI CAN’T FIND SERVER

This morning I started getting “Safari Can’t Find the Server” on a multitude of sites when loading in Safari, while pings were successful and Chrome was loading pages. The fix? Flush the DNS cache. I fired up Terminal and entered the following command, and viola – pages started loading. sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
